UNITED PRIMARY SCHOOL
katwe united primary school is a mixed day school. It's situated in Katwe Kiganda zone, Makindye Division, Kampala district.
The school was founded in 1988 by the late Mmuli Mutumba George John Willim. It's a non-segregation institution caring for all religious sects and tribes
Katwe united primary schoolhas a motto that says "READ AND WORK".
The mission of this school is to "Produceself-reliant future citizens, upright and God fearing."
The school has a well established administration structure headed by the chairperson, Board of directors: Mr Kigongo Farouk, Headmistress Mrs.Mmuli Agnes, Deputy Headmistress, Director of studies, Mr. Sserulyo Joel, School bursar; Mr. Ssevume Saul, heads of deartments, teaching staff, non-teaching staff, prefects and monitors.
The schoolhas a grand total of 18 teachers who are qualified with various qualifications such as Grade III certificate, cerificate in nursery education, diploma and degrees in education. Amomng the 18 dedicated teachers at Katwe united 9 are female and 9 are male teachers.
Currently the school has a total enrollment of 350 pupils of which 198 are female and 152 are male. It has classes from P.1 to P.7 and its one stream each class.
The school posses a standard and clear time table which stipulates periods of teaching. Parade as well as extra co-curriclar activities such as football, netball, music, dance and drama to mentio but a few.
The sdhool is fully registered with the mministry of education and sports under registration number: PPS/K/88. The school obtained a UNED centre NO:003228.
The school enrollment has greatly increased becase of the quality education offered that has enabled pupils perform and excel well.
